The Vietnamese Community in Iowa will be holding this year Tet's Festival - Year of the GOAT on Saturday 2-28-15 from 11am-3pm at Iowa State Fairgrounds -Walnut Center 30th and Grand Ave, Des Moines IA.

Free admission and lunch. The program features:

-Traditional Ritual Homage Ceremony                     -Bingo
-Cultural Performance and music                             -Raffles
-Lion Dance                                                              -And more
-Longevity Wishes
-Lucky Money (li xi) for children 12 years and younger.
-Games for children
We invite you all to come to celebrate this annual event with us.

Asian Festival 2014 - 12th annual Asian Festival -State Capitol-May 31, 2014


The mission of IAA is to unite Iowa's diverse Asian and Asian-American communities for the purpose of fostering economic growth and community development within the state of Iowa. IAA's vision is to create an Iowa in which Asians and Asian-Americans are an integral part of a vibrant and prosperous community.

In advancing its mission, IAA represents and serves the following Asian community groups: Burma, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Lao, Nepal, Philippines, Taiwan, Taidam, Thailand, and Vietnam. In addition to the many Asian communities represented, IAA welcomes and has representatives from the diverse backgrounds, races, and ethnicities that define the Iowan community and contribute to the success of IAA.
